SAMBA, Oct 25: Former Minister and Senior State Vice President National Conference Surjeet Singh Slathia said that inclination of youngsters towards music, art and culture is imperative for intellectual growth and bringing about harmony in the society.
“The growing participation of youth in music and art events encourages us about the talent available in the State, which needs to be identified and polished for being projected at a larger canvass”, Slathia said while releasing a Dogri Album “Savna De Kul Dev” at village Rajinder Singh Pura, Baguna, produced by Ankush Jamwal and Bunty Jasrotia.
He added that music binds the people and generates an aura of harmony, tranquility and peace. He hailed the producers for their Dogri production and hoped this will reach vast mass of people. Wishing them success in chosen career, he said the young artists deserve all the encouragement by the organizations associated with promotion of art and culture besides the electronic channels.
Slathia said the work of Jamwal and Jasrotia will inspire the budding artists and prove useful for those who want to excel in the field of art and music. He said the State has no dearth of talent but the only need is to identify and polish it by expert hands. He also hoped that the album will inspire young artists of the State to explore their hidden talent and make their niche in the society.
Among others present were Sarpanch Raman Singh Slathia, Sarpanch Yash Pal Sharma, Sarpanch Mohan Sharma, SS Jamwal, Saudagar Gupta, Jang Bahadur, Timpu Jamwal, etc.
Later, Mr Slathia led the audience to pay homage to Brg. Rajinder Singh.
