SUCHETGARH, Mar 15: District Development Council (DDC) member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony inaugurated the blacktopping, pot filling and repair work of road from Sai Nikowal to Sai Dair Camp here today thus fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of these areas.
In his address after inaugurating the developmental work, Taranjit Singh Tony said that development is not merely a slogan but it should be implemented in letter and spirit on ground and he had done exactly the same by translating slogans into ground reality. He said that it was the long pending demand of the people of this area as the condition of roads here was very shabby due to wear and tear besides having become an accident prone area.
The DDC member also kick-started the work of lanes and drains in Haripur Panchayat in the presence of Sarpanch Vijay Kumar, Naib Sarpanch Ravi Singh and independent candidate for Assembly elections, Sham Lal Bhagat.
Tony in his address on the occasion stated that the people of this constituency just like the people across the Union Territory are fed up with the misrule and worst governance of the BJP Govt at the Centre.
Accusing the BJP of being just a Jumla Party, Tony said that time has come to teach BJP a lesson in the forthcoming Assembly elections. He said that independent candidate is the best choice for this constituency and appealed to the people to vote for him and send him to the J&K Assembly as their democratically elected representative. He appealed to the people of RS Pura to vote and support him in the forthcoming elections for speedy and all round development.
Independent candidate Sham Lal Bhagat, in his address, said that the development carried out by DDC Member Tony will continue at the same pace with great spree in the entire Suchetgarh constituency. He assured Tony that he will leave no stone unturned in serving the people of the constituency selflessly by addressing their problems and issues on top priority.
