ANANTNAG, Nov 22: J&K State Legal Services Authority has taken requisite measures to reach out to the fire victims of Reshi Bazar, Anantnag.
On the directions of Chief Justice of J&K High Court (Patron-in-Chief, J&K State Legal Services Authority) Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, Chairperson DLSA Anantnag (Principal District & Sessions Judge) has been directed to constitute core group headed by Judicial Officer in terms of Scheme for Legal Services to Disaster Victims through Legal services Authorities ” to coordinate with District Administration for timely evacuation of fire victims of Reshi Bazar Anantnag to the temporary shelter camps (relief camps) opened in the affected area, ensure smooth distribution of relief materials to the victims, assess the damage caused to the life and property of the victims so that the cases for disbursement of relief are processed expeditiously by District Administration, open temporary Legal Aid Clinic in the relief camp manned by Para Legal Volunteers to hear the grievances of the victims and forward the same to the District Administration for their redressal.
Chairman of DLSA Anantnag has also been directed to submit the consolidated report to the State Authority for further course of action.
