SAMBA, May 30: Anku Singh’s knock of unbeaten 61 runs off just 26 balls, studded with 9 fours and 3 sixes, besides 2 important wickets guided Smailpur XI to a 10-wicket win over Palli Cricket Club in the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Pandit Prem Nath Dogra ground Smailpur, here.
Chasing a paltry total of 87 runs, Smailpur XI reached the target in just 7.5 overs, without any loss, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Apart from Anku’s magnificent knock, Deepak contributed 25 runs to the total.
Earlier, Palli Cricket Club bundled out for meagre total of 87 runs in 19 overs. Sahil and Anshik contributed 18 and 17 runs to the total. Dilawar Singh took 3 wickets from Smailpur XI, while Anku, Daljit Singh and Paramdev Singh claimed 2 wickets each. Anku Singh of Smailpur XI was adjudged as the man of the match.
