Small batch of 473 Amarnath pilgrims leaves from Jammu

JAMMU:  A small batch of 473 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here chanting ‘bam bam bhole’ for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.

  The pilgrims, comprising  327 male, 46 females and 100 sadhus, left in a cavalcade of 14 vehicles early this morning.

   Pilgrims left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in 14 vehicles including four Light Motor Vehicles and 10 buses.

   ”The Yatra is progressing smoothly on the highway,” a police official here said. (AGENCIES)
