JAMMU: Amid tight security, smallest batch of 196 pilgrims today left for their respective base camps in Kashmir — Baltal and Pahalgam.
“Amid chants of ‘Bam Bam Bhole, Jai Baba Burfani ‘ a fresh batch of pilgrims comprising 134 males, 27 females and 35 sadhus in a convoy of 10 vehicles left Bhagwati Nagar base camp for Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir”, an official said this afternoon.
Official added that of the pilgrims proceeded for their pilgrimage via Pahalgam and through Baltal routes to pay their obeisance at holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath situated in south Kashmir Himalayas. (AGENCIES)
