Smart village for flood victims of Panjar within 18 months: Jitendra

UDHAMPUR, Jan 11: Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge for development of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh has assured the flood hit victims of Saddal that they will be shifted to their make shift shelters within one week’s time.
Dr Singh who visited the Saddal area today along with senior officers said that within one and a half year the flood victims will be shifted to a smart village and it will be one of the first smart villages of the State as conceived by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi.
He said more such villages will be set up in the State where people will get all modern facilities of life. He said that the Smart village is being constructed with the help of a multinational company Concentrix India and a NGO Love Care Foundation as these two organizations have shown keen interest in rehabilitation of the flood victims of Saddal by converting Panjar Panchayat into a smart village.
Dr Singh also announced that the land for IIT for Jammu region will be identified soon and the same was delayed due to Model Code of Conduct. But now as the elections are over the Government will take immediate steps in this regard, he added.
He said the huge mandate given by the people in Jammu region imposes many responsibilities on Party and we have now to come upto the expectations of the masses.
Dr Singh said BJP will prove itself to the test of time and it will not let the nationalistic people down but safeguard their interests at all costs as BJP is not only a political party but a mass movement which always championed the cause of masses.
