SRINAGAR, Dec 3: The enforcement wing of Srinagar Municipal Corporation in the presence of SMC Commissioner Dr. G.N. Qasba today demolished four structures coming up in violation of the municipal rules in different parts of the city.
Dr. Qasba visited areas like Aali Masjid, Ali Jan Road, Soura, Anchar, Karan Nagar, Jehangir Chowk and Amira Kadal along with the senior officers of Corporation. During the demolition drives Dr Qasba had a brain storming session with the violators/offenders and advised the people not to take up any construction without applying for a proper building permission.
The SMC staff removed encroachments from Karan Nagar to Amira Kadal bridge as the same was choking the movement of pedestrians. Dr. Qasba directed the Chief Enforcement Officer Hakeem Aijaz to depute the officials in the encroached areas besides keeping a tight vigil over the Amira Kadal Bridge.
