SMGS Hospital celebrates 74th Foundation Day

JAMMU, May 6: Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital today celebrated its 74th Foundation Day.
The programme started with the garlanding ceremony of the statue of Maharaja Gulab Singh.
On the occasion, Dr Ghanshyam Dev Gupta, Principal and Dean, Government Medical College, Jammu was the chief guest, while as Rachna Sharma, Administrator, Associated Hospitals was guest of honour.
Dr Rekha Harish, Head of Department of Pediatrics, Dr Indu Kaul, Head of Obst and Gynaecology Department, Dr Sunil Kotwal, Head of Department of ENT, Dr Dev Raj Dogra, Head of Department of Dermatology, faculty members of Medical College and SMGS Hospital, Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Causality Medical Officers, SMGS Hospital Jammu and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The administration of SMGS Hospital Jammu selected best employees and workers of 2013-14 from each category of staff of the hospital and the selected employees were awarded by the chief guest for their best services during the year 2013-14.
While speaking, Dr Ghanshyam Dev Gupta advised the employees to work with dedication to improve the patient care services in future also.
Dr Gupta showed his concern in improving the health care facilities for the needy and ailing community and stressed upon all the employees to work with more zeal.
The dignitaries who attended the function were felicitated by the hospital authorities for their contribution in the programme.
