SMP criticizes Govt

JAMMU, May 7: Social Movement Party (SMP) criticized PDP-BJP Coalition Government for its failure in the State on all fronts and their betrayal to common man.
Addressing a press conference, Advocate Ashok Kumar Basotra, national secretary general alleged that the present PDP-BJP Coalition Government has failed miserably on all fronts as the Common Minimum Programme between the two is just an eye wash and both the parties have nothing common between them except to plunder the State at the cost of its rest of the population.
SMP has raised issues like implementation of 32% vertical reservation in favour of OBCs after including the remaining 29 castes from the J&K State list of Mandal Commission along with two more castes viz “Sainis” and “Jats”; and filling of backlog quota of SCs, STs and OBCs accordingly in terms of provisions of the Constitution of India.
