JAMMU, Aug 8: Social Movement Party (SMP) today expressed serious concern with respect to increase in incidents of atrocities on SCs, STs, OBCs and converted minorities in J&K vis-à-vis India and held Narendra Modi led BJP Government responsible for the same.
This was revealed in a press conference organized by SMP by its national general secretary Ashok Kumar Basotra, who stated that Aboriginal Indians from amongst all the religions in India are being victimized by the political puppet of RSS viz BJP.
He further expressed that in the State of J&K, the present PDP-BJP Coalition Government is working against the interests of these weaker sections of the society because CM Mehbooba Mufti, DyCM Nirmal Singh and almost whole of the cabinet ministers belong to upper caste strata of the society.
He further expressed that as per the provisions of the Constitution, India is a secular country but the atrocities by the so called upper caste Hindus have forced the SCs, STs and OBCs to follow the directions of Baba Saheb B R Ambedkar to quit Hinduism so as to live with honour and dignity.
He also related the cause of problem of non-implementation of Reservation in promotion of SCs, STs and OBCs in J&K, non-implementation of 27% Reservation in favour of OBCs and not even a single MLA/MLC from amongst the OBC as on today in J&K Assembly to the fact that micro-minority Brahmins are ruling and only so called upper castes are controlling all the wings of Government.
Prominent amongst those who attended the press-conference were Hem Raj Phonsa (Social Activist), Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah (Social Activist), Dayal Singh (National vice-president SMP), Dheeraj Thapa (National Treasurer SMP), Dr Jeet Raj Bazala (State president SMP J&K) and other State body office bearers.
