KATRA, Dec 28: In another achievement registered by the students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Gurukul, Charan Paduka, 5 of its students have been selected for National level Sanskrit declamation contest being organized by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The contest will start tomorrow and conclude on January 2 next. It is pertinent to mention that these students of the Gurukul stood first in their respective events at the State level debating competition organised by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. They left for Tirupati last evening accompanied by an Acharya and a teacher of the Gurukul to participate in the declamation contest.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) informed that of them, Gourav Sharma of 11th class will compete in Sidhant Jotish Shilakha Pariksha, Nand Lal of 9th class will compete in Kavya Kanth Path, Shubham Sharma also of 9th class will compete in Amarkosh Kanth Path, Anish Sharma of 8th class will be competing in Ashathadhyai Kanth Path and Rohit Sharma of 11th class will compete in Vadantyakshriyasaprada.
