SMVDIME, SMVDNSH organise workshop on biomedical equipment

KATRA, July 16: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME) and its associated Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital (SMVDNSH) organised two significant events today.
These included plantation drive aimed to promote environmental sustainability and a workshop on biomedical equipment maintenance and handling to enhance the technical skills of healthcare professionals.
The plantation drive saw active participation of officers and staff from various units of NSSH and SMVDIME besides, a large number of students from SMVD College of Nursing (SMVDCoN), delegates from various Government and private medical colleges and hospitals of the Jammu region. The participants planted numerous saplings around the hospital premises, contributing to a greener and healthier environment.
It was followed by commencement of a two days well crafted workshop on Biomedical Equipment in association with Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) providing attendees in-depth knowledge and practical training on the maintenance and use of medical devices.
This initiative is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of the medical services to the participating delegates, including Bio-medical Engineers, anesthesia technicians, OT technicians, ICU technicians, nursing professionals, staff from Government / private hospitals and nursing homes of the Jammu region.
CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Anshul Garg observed that these activities at allied institutes of the Shrine Board is a testimony to their commitment to excellence in community service and healthcare sector.
Dr Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director, SMVDIME, highlighted the merits of the workshop and the importance of public-private partnerships in public health facilities through AMTZ.
