KATRA, Mar 2: Neeraj Kaul, Industry Professor of Practice (Entrepreneurship & Startups) at Sushant University Gurgaon, renowned clean energy consultant and former Director Sales & Marketing & Deputy Managing Director of General Electric, USA (South Asia), delivering special talk to the students of SMVDU.
He emphasised that Indian economy, which is 5th largest in the world with its burgeoning startups and entrepreneurs, presents excellent opportunity to the students to experiment with their ideas inside and outside the classroom.
He implored the students that they must explore the nearby neighbourhood to identify the problems which may lead them to find the innovative solutions and business ideas. New Education Policy and student friendly startup policies of Government provide students and even those who are outside the formal education system with wonderful opportunities to start their own business ventures, he added.
Prof Kaul appreciated efforts of the University to foster a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, where SMVDU TBIC served as the bedrock for transformative ideas.
Dr S K Mehta, Head, School of Business, presented a formal welcome address.
Dean Research and Development, Dr Vineet Tyagi apprised Prof Kaul about the research and innovation achievements of the University.
Dr Pabitra Kumar Jena, Assistant Professor, School of Economics, extended the vote of thanks.
