SMVDU faculty delivers talk in USA conference

JAMMU, Apr 24: Ankush Raina, faculty member, School of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra presented papers in 22nd International Conference on Wear of Materials at Miami, Florida in USA.
The conference was organized by Elsevier and Wear of Materials, USA. The faculty member presented two papers in the area of Lubrication. The first presentation was on “Friction and wear performance of olive oil containing nano particles in boundary and mixed lubrication regimes”. The paper was co-authored by Love Kerni and Mir Irfan Ul Haq, Assistant Professor, SME, SMVDU.
The second presentation was on “Friction and wear characteristics of diamond nano particles mixed with copper oxide for steel/Al alloy contacts” which was co-authored by Dr Ankush Anand, Associate Professor, SME, SMVDU, Mir Irfan Ul Haq, Assistant Professor, SME, SMVDU and Dr Sanjay Mohan Sharma, Assistant Professor, SME, SMVDU.
The conference was attended by leading researchers from academia and industry working in the field of Friction, Wear and Lubrication of Mechanical components.
Raina got a chance to interact with the speakers from different countries which includes USA, Russia, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, UK, Canada, France, China, Malaysia, Chile, Netherlands, Austria Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, and Italy.
