SMVDU to host Inspire Science Camp

KATRA, July 7: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is going to organize 10th DST (Department of Science and Technology), GoI, funded Inspire Science Internship Camp for Class XI/XII meritorious science students from July 22 to 26, 2016.
Inspire Internship Camps specifically focus on basic and research innovations in the field of science as well as on career guidance. This camp is going to provide excellent exposure to the young future scientists of J&K in the form of interactions with eminent scientists of repute from all over India, hands-on laboratory sessions, exhibition, quiz etc. Participants shall interact with eminent scientists working in the frontier areas of science and technology. Morning sessions shall be devoted for interactions with the eminent scientists and gifted teachers and hands on activity including stage shows on science, exhibitions, laboratory work in the University and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital shall be the main highlights of the upcoming camp. SMVDU has taken lead in organizing INSPIRE Camps in the State and has organized 9 such camps since April 2010. Two of these camps have been held at Leh in collaboration with District Administration and Army. These camps have been highly successful resulting in immense exposure and benefit to over 3130 young students who were top 1 percent merit in the boards at 10th standard so far. Over 120 eminent scientists of National and International fame have been part of this programme at SMVDU.
