SMVDU hosts workshop on ‘IPR & IP Management for Startup’

KATRA, Apr 1: Institute Innovation Council of SMVD University in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Cell-SMVDU hosted a workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & IP Management for Startup’ at SMVDU.
Prof Sudhir K Jain, former Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU and Prof Emeritus, Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship, Jawaharlal Nehru University, explained the application of IPRs to protect the technology, brand name, design and creativity in the start-ups.
Dr Lakhwinder Pal Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, discussed about the relevance of IPRs to commercialize the innovations in business start-ups.
‘How to boost the Start-Up Ecosystem through the Intellectual Property Rights’ was deliberated by Dr Ashutosh Vashishtha, Associate Professor of School of Business of SMVDU.
This workshop was organized by Dr Supran K Sharma, IIC-Activity coordinator and Dean, Faculty of Management and Dr Rashi Taggar, Assistant Professor, School of Business to enlighten the future entrepreneurs to have competitive advantage in business start-ups with IPRs.
