SMVDU organises programme on Procurement through GeM

JAMMU, May 29: A One Day Training Programe on Procurement through Government e Marketplace (GeM) organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) was held here today.
The programme was organised for Heads of all Schools, PIs, Members of Engineering wing, DRs, ARs & SOs, AAO, ASO and Staff from various wings like S&P, MAC, Sports, Central Library, & network Centre of the University.
Neeraj Gupta, Finance Officer, SMVDU inaugurated the Training programme, which was attended by 57 participants.
Ankit Jhawar Deputy Director, J&K UTs, GeM gave an introductory lecture on GeM and Javeed Ahmed Shaikh Business Facilitator (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh) at GeM and Trainer, conducted the technical training.
The aim behind organising the programme was to provide practical training to Faculty and Staff on how to use GeM effectively and to apprise them of the features like, Bid Creation, Push Button Procurement, & Bunching, etc.
The program was organized by the Stores and Procurement Wing of the University.
