KATRA, Apr 15: School of Business under Faculty of Management at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, J&K organizes three-day workshop on “Competence Building in Food Processing Industry in J&K”.
The workshop is being organized by Dr. Saurabh, Organizing Secretary and Asst. Professor, SMVD University in collaboration with J&K State SIDCO State Mission Directorate and Ministry of Food Processing, GoI.The workshop aims at providing a common platform where all food processing units of the State, entrepreneurs of J&K, various stakeholders and experts from academia as well as industry shall come together and discuss the roadmap for growth and development of the FPI in the state of J&K.
Besides this, the workshop shall also make entrepreneurs aware about the concept of competitiveness. The workshop shall focus to infuse and enhance the entrepreneurial acumen and professionalism of the unit holders with the benefits of technology, innovation, quality practices, human resource development etc. Some of the thrust areas of workshop shall be measuring competitiveness, Strategies for enhancing competitiveness of firms, roadblocks to enhance competitiveness, Managing turnaround and transformation.
The Workshop comprises Panel Discussions and Sessions on setting agenda for Food Processing Industry in Jammu and Kashmir, Gaps in strategic integration towards competitiveness of food processing units in J&K, Competencies required for competitiveness in food processing in J&K etc.
