KATRA, Dec 22: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
According to the agreement, CPWD will provide its technical and management services for the construction of three buildings. These structures include a Pre-Engineering Academic Block and two hostels, one for boys and another for girls, each with a capacity of a hundred students.
The construction of these buildings aims to enhance academic and hostel facilities to address the growing demand for classrooms and accommodations.
The MoU signing ceremony saw the presence of Prof Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU; Ajay Kumar Sharma (Registrar), Neeraj Gupta (Finance Officer), and Kamal Sharma (University Engineer) from SMVDU, alongside Rajesh Kumar Dhiman, Additional Director General, Jammu Region, CPWD.
