KATRA, Mar 10: In the Multidisciplinary National Conference “Science Colloquium” organized by DAV College, Jalandhar, faculty members, Research Scholars and students of Biotechnology in SMVDU, participated and presented papers.
The poster displayed by Inderpal Singh, Research Scholar, School of Biotechnology was selected as the Best Poster under the Biotechnology category. The presented work was done under the joint supervision of Dr Ratna Chandra, Asst. Professor, SMVDU and Dr Shashank Singh, Scientist, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, CSIR, Jammu. Posters were also displayed by Ashna Nagpal, Research Scholar and final year M Sc. students, Komal Raina, Nikita Verma, Vishwas Bakshi, Nisha Saini and Vijaylakshmi at the Conference.
Prof S K Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU and Prof V Verma, Dean College of Engineering, Director SBT, appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and students.
More than 350 participants from all over India were invited in the conference wherein 10 Invited Lectures and 140 Poster Presentations were made.
The conference was financially supported by DBT, CSIR and UGC, GoI.
