JAMMU, Sept 24: Professor Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, has been awarded ‘Elite Academician Award’ by Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) of United States of America, for his outstanding contribution to the academics.
Prof Akshay Kumar Rathore of Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, who is serving as IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Awards Department Chair, conferred the award to Prof Sinha at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
IEEE, USA is the world’s largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefits of humanity. There are over 4.09 lakh members in more than 160 countries. It sponsors more than 2000 conferences and events in 96 countries while contributing over 36 lakh total conference papers to IEEE Explore since 1936 with as many as 2 lakh new papers added annually. Members are engineers, scientists and allied professionals whose technical interests are routed in Electrical and Computer Sciences, Engineering and related disciplines.
