JAMMU, Dec 18: Bishnah Police today arrested a snatcher and recovered snatched ear rings of a woman on his disclosure.
Acting on a complaint lodged on December 16 by a lady namely Vijay Kumari wife of Som Nath of Chak Bana Jattan (Bishnah), that that some unknown person restrained her way and snatched her ear rings, a case FIR Number 215/2022 U/S 382/323/147 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Accordingly, a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh with the help of various CCTV footages of the area rounded up a suspect namely Ankush Kumar son of Girdhari Lal of Chak Chimna (Bishnah).
During intensive questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the snatching case and on his disclosure snatched ear rings were recovered. A motorcycle (bearing registration number JK02CH-5076) which was used by the accused in the crime, was also seized.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
