Snatcher arrested, mobile phone recovered

JAMMU, Apr 26: A snatcher was arrested today with a snatched mobile phone from Sarwal area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, on March 10, a woman namely Sunita Koul wife of Ravinder Koul, resident of Lakshmi Nagar (Sarwal) lodged a written complaint in police post Sarwal that at about 8 PM one unknown scooty rider snatched her purse containing one mobile phone, some cash and documents while she was on way to her home.
On complaint of the woman, a case FIR No 40/2018 under Section 382/RPC was registered at police station Bakshi Nagar. During the course of investigation, a number of suspects were rounded up and yesterday a suspect namely Paras Dubey of Katra (at present Lakshmi Nagar, Sarwal) during questioning revealed his involvement in the case. On his disclosure, one Samsung J-7 mobile phone was recovered from his possession and more recoveries were expected.
The arrest and recovery is affected by a team of police post Sarwal led by SI Jatinder Singh Rakwal, Incharge, police post Sarwal, under the supervision of Inspector Naresh Sharma, SHO police station Bakshi Nagar, SDPO City West, Pranav Mahajan and SP City North Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar.
