SNCF organizes blood donation camp

JAMMU, Jan 20: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF), Branch Bishnah, organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Bishnah.
Volunteers from all age group participated in the camp to spread the message of Baba Hardev Singh ji that “blood should flow in veins and not in drains”. About 109 units of blood were donated during the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Romesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, he said that to save a human life is a noble venture, and doing so through blood donation is a priceless gift to the person whose life has been saved.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal, said that Sant Nirankari Mission is a leader amongst blood donation organizations not just in India, but across the world. Sant Nirankari Mission recognizes blood as a universal human lifeline – all humans, despite caste, color, gender, or creed, need it to survive.
Other dignitaries presented on the occasion were Dr Meena Sidhu (HoD Blood Bank), Dr Saadat Nazir Shah, Rizwan Asgar (Tehsildar Bishnah), Sarpanch, Satpal Mukhi, Ram Mehta, Bansi Lal (Sanchalak), several prominent citizens and social workers of the society.
The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Department of Government Medical College Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
