MUMBAI : The SNDT Women’s University today donated a sum of Rs 10 lakh to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof Vasudha Kamat met the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of the University Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai and presented him a cheque for Rs 10 lakh addressed to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
Pro Vice Chancellor Vandana Chakravarty was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the University of Mumbai had donated an amount of Rs.25 lakhs for the same.
The Governor forwarded the cheque from the SNDT University to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
