Soan Kashmir Front demands hike in cash relief of migrants

JAMMU, Dec 27: Jagti Tenement Committee Soan Kashmir Front has demanded hike in monthly cash relief of Kashmiri migrants from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 25,000 per family.
Front leader Shadi Lal Pandita said their protest demonstration today entered day 87 for their demands which also include Government job to families having no family member in any Government job.
Other demands of Front included new package of 20,000 posts for unemployed Kashmiri migrant youths.
Addressing the protesters Pandita said there are many families in Kashmiri migrant community who have not been able to teach their children above matriculation and demanded at least 5000 Class IV jobs for such people.
The Front appealed Director General of Police to start a recruitment drive in Jagti township and other migrant camps and non camps.
Front leader demanded permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley by making three satellite townships in Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag to accommodate at least 35,000 families in each township.
Pandita said if their demands are not fulfilled soon then they will continue their protest in Jagti township and also outside it.
Raj Kumar Tickoo, Front Convener and Kashi Nath Bhat, Vice President, Ravinder Koul, M.L Razdan, Vijay Bakshi, Kamal Pandita, Vinod Moza, Rakesh Ambardar, Sager Pandita, Sunil Koul, Shuban Raina, Mithan Pandita, Shadi Lal Koul, Rakesh Tickoo, S. Charanjeet Singh, J.L Koul and others were also present in the protest.
