SRINAGAR, July 9: Retired Director Floriculture Arun Kumar Gupta and Social Activist Surinder Khajuria from Jammu joined JD (U) in a function held here today.
Welcoming the new entrant, Party President G M Shaheen expressed satisfaction over his joining in the Party-fold.
“Janata Dal (United) is an inimitable political platform which is open to everyone who aspire to serve the people. Unlike other traditional political parties of J&K that have been viciously plagued with family dominance, JD (U) is free from such vices and has always put its efforts to raise the pressing concerns of the people,” Shaheen said.
“I understand the unexplored potential of the Jammu and Kashmir. The nature has not only bestowed it with serene picturesque but also made it resourceful for costly spices. I along with my party colleagues pledge to work for the betterment of lives of inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir who have faced all odds but never shied away from participating in democratic processes,” he added.
On this occasion, Arun and Surinder said that they have joined JD (U) for its public welfare agenda.
“I was motivated to join this party because of its policies and follow up models very keenly. My firm belief is that this is the only party that can deliver on the ground. I pledge to strengthen this party at the grassroot level,” said Arun Kumar Gupta.
