Social Movement Party holds plenary session

JAMMU, Mar 25: Social Movement Party (SMP), a political outfit at national level, today held its plenary session and highlighted its policies and programmes for the downtrodden and backward classes of the society.
Addressing a press conference, here today, R K Ankodia, national president of SMP, said that his party was committed to provide Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Justice to all the citizens as enshrined under the Preamble of the Constitution of India. “The welfare schemes enshrined in the Directive Principles and the Fundamental Rights of the masses, especially in favour of the SCs, STs, OBCs, minorities and women folk, guaranteed in the Constitution of India, are not being properly implemented and protected in letter and spirit. Untouchability is still in existence and more rampant in rural areas inspite of the provisions of Article 17 and the deterrent laws passed by the Parliament,” he lamented
Delegates from 12 States participated in the Plenary Session and numbers of vital resolution were passed to expand the area of operation of the party throughout the country with the agenda.
