Social workers, NSF join Anna Hazare crusade

JAMMU, July 30: As Team Anna today launched an indefinite fast raising the pitch against the UPA Government on the issue of corruption, several social workers from the civil society sat on hunger strike at Raya Morh of district samba.
Social workers and supporters of Anna Hazare, sat on hunger strike and raised slogans against the Government for not taking action against the corrupt Ministers.
The protesters demanded a strong Lokpal, setting up of a special team to probe corruption allegations against Union Ministers, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, setting up of a fast track court to try criminal cases against MPs and SIT looking into allegations against party chiefs.
While speaking, Chanchal Singh Bagal stressed upon the Government to immediately bring a strong Lokpal bill to curb the corruption and take necessary steps to bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks.
Among others present were Khazoor Singh, Sarpanch Halqa Panchayat Raya, Daljeet Singh Naib Sarpanch, Jagdev Singh, Nanak Singh, Raghubir Singh, Sudesh Sharma, Vijay Singh, Rajinder Singh, Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, etc.
Meanwhile, National Secular Forum (NSF) has also extended full support to the crusade against corruption launched by Anna Hazare at Jantar Mantar.
The activists of NSF assembled at Science College and raised slogans against the Government for not brining the strong Jan Lokpal Bill.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Sharma, said that every citizen is facing difficulties due to the rising corruption in every nook and corner of the country.
He said NSF will follow the call of Anna Hazare and accordingly intensify their agitation in the Jammu region if Government fails to bring the strong Jan Lokpal Bill to curb the menace of corruption.
Among others present were Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Shafqat Malik, Narinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh etc.
