I presume that sociology subject which is taught from 11th class has been introduced only in urban schools but not in rural higher secondary schools of our State. It is an important subject. Presently, it is one of optional subjects in civil services exams. It is also taught in MBBS. But for reason known to the authorities it has been introduced in cities only. I can give an example in this context that in my home district Budgam it is taught only in Higher Secondary School Budgam. Keeping this in view, it is requested to the Education Minister that this subject be introduced in all 10+2 schools so that all students will be benefitted. Besides, all PG in-service teachers can get a chance to teach this subject and serve the society in true sense.
