SAMBA, June 26:- An army soldier was injured during an exercise in the Diyani area of Samba. According to the information received, during the exercise a grenade exploded in the soldier’s hand, inflicting severe injury to his hand as well as all the fingers. After first aid at the Military Hospital in Samba, the soldier has been referred to Military Hospital Pathankot for better treatment. The injured soldier has been identified as Satish Munde, of 14 Maratha Light Infantry of 168 Brigade. In this regard, the police have taken cognizance of the matter.
