Srinagar, June 12: A soldier died today after he slipped into a deep gorge in Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district while Border Security Force jawan was injured in Tanghdar in a land mine blast.
An army jawan, Ravinder Singh of 15 RR, who was part of patrol party, this morning slipped and fell down into a gorge at Javard forest area of Gurez sector.
He was injured and was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
In another incident a BSF jawan was injured in Tanghdar sector today when he walked over a land mine. He was removed to hospital for treatment.
