RAJOURI, Aug 13: An Army soldier committed suicide by using his service rifle in Kalakote sector of district Rajouri this evening.
Official sources said that Naik, Joginder Paul, posted at Air Force Radar Unit in Salyar Chatta area of Kalakote sector, committed suicide with his service weapon at around 6 pm today. The Unit officers reported the matter to concerned police.
The police party rushed to the spot and then shifted the body of the soldier for postmortem to hospital in Rajouri. Later, body was handed over to the unit officers after performing legal formalities by police. The police has registered a case in this connection.
