POONCH, Jan 5: An Army jawan with a bullet injury was found dead in Saujian area, near the LoC in Mandi sector of Poonch district during morning hours today.
Police sources said that Sepoy – Krishan Yadav of B Company of 40 Rashtriya Rifles, hailing from Rajasthan was deployed in Saujian area. He was found dead with a bullet injury on his body.
“A case has been registered under relevant sections and the matter is being investigated to ascertain the cause of death,” adding, “It is suspected to be a case of suicide as per the prima facie.”
However, Army authorities have denied any terror angle into the matter.
