JAMMU, Jan 25: Aping Party general secretary, Vijay Bakaya has urged the Relief Commissioner (Migrants) to solve the accommodation problems of PM Package employees working in Kashmir on an urgent basis.
While referring to reports about confusion in allotment of accommodation at Versus to PM Package employees, Bakaya expressed the hope that the Relief Commissioner, will solve the problems of those employees who have occupied vacant rooms without authority by immediately undertaking repairs to the accommodation they were forced to vacate in view of its unsuitability for living in Winter and also implement the allotment order made to those living on rent.
Bakaya believed that this issue needed to be resolved amicably and as a humanitarian issue and not only as an administrative matter.
Bakaya agreed that no one should be allowed to violate rules and procedure but notice should also be taken of any extenuating factors like poor maintenance which forced the residents to temporarily shift for shelter.
Bakaya hoped that the matter would be resolved amicably on an urgent basis so that all concerned were properly sheltered in these harsh conditions.
