JAMMU, Apr 9: All J&K Sikh Unity Forum (SUF) has urged the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to solve the pending issue of PoK refugees.
Members of the Forum including Gurdeep Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Balwant Singh and Dev Raj appealed the Chief Minister to take personal initiative to settle the 66 year old pending issues of the PoK refuges. They demanded that Rs 50 lakh compensation to provided to each family as one time settlement. They also demanded that record of these refugees be computerized. They also sought the intervention of Prime Minister to settle the issue.
