Solve pending issues of displaced Pandits: AIMCCC

JAMMU, Nov 28: A meeting of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) was held at Muthi under the leadership of its senior leader, Ashok Raina. While addressing the meeting AIMCCC, president, Desh Rattan Pandita said, it is need of the hour that we should all work to make nation strong and support the steps taken by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister to weed out terrorism from the country.
He said that Pandits are the nationalist by core and expressed the hope that the Government will take all steps in solving their problems including a dignified and honourable return and rehabilitation of the community which is leading 34th year in exile. He regretted that the community has been ignored and neglected by successive governments and it is hoped that present Government will come to its expectations.
He assured that AIMCCC will extend all support to Government in its policies of making India strong as the organization has full faith in the leadership of PM, Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah.
He said in last 34 years except promises nothing was done for the rehabilitation of the community and the present Government which has broken all the taboos is hoped will take a bold and dynamic step in rehabilitation of exiled Pandits in their Homeland also, restore their encroached properties and shrines etc.
He warned those parties who are exploiting the community for their vested political interests and said that the community has suffered since 1947 and was always marginalized by successive governments till date.
AIMCCC chairman, B K Raina, vice president, P N Jalali Ashok Raina said it is a cause of concern that Government has ignored KPs totally.
They demanded removal of encroachments, release of balance ex-gratia, settling the problems of package employees and security to minorities in the Valley.
Anjali Kar, Priya Dhar, Mela Misri demanded benefit of State as well as Central schemes be given to displaced Pandits also.
They also asked the community to come together and form a political organisation to fight for its rights. They said in this connection AIMCCC is going to hold a conference soon.
