JAMMU, June 13: Somany Ceramics hosted Architects’ Symposium on the theme ‘Innovation Unleashed’, here today.
Leading architects and real estate entrepreneurs of India graced the event with their presence.
Abhishek Somany, Joint Managing Director, Somany Ceramics Limited, during his welcome address shared his insightful and experiential thoughts on the contemporary architecture. The guest speaker, Architect Siddharth Talwar, Studio Lotus, New Delhi, enlightened the audience on innovative structural plans and their importance towards building modern cities.
The symposium encompassed the enlightening thoughts and insights from the esteemed speakers on topics specific to their field of excellence. They elaborated on the intricacies of building an urban city which is on its rapid pace of development. They said that overcoming from the devastating floods that hit the region a year ago, Jammu is set for its new path with urban structures and new-age innovatively designed buildings suiting the modern lifestyle.
Somany elaborated on the resulting growth in the ceramics industry from the rapid urbanization of the area. He said that Somany Ceramics Limited is amongst the frontrunners in the ceramic tile and sanitary ware industry in India, and is known for its innovative products which are functionally as well as aesthetically advanced. The company offers various products like floor tiles, wall tiles, vitrified tiles, sanitary wares, CP fittings and the tile laying solutions.
On Jammu being the venue for the symposium, Somany said, “Jammu boasts of innumerable temples and shrines which are dated back to early centuries. As the tier 2 cities of India already have strong hold on heritage, urban architecture in line with rapid development in the city will add to the pace of development of a world class city”.
