JAMMU, Dec 27: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that some forces do not want to see development in this region but the Government will soon transform Jammu and Kashmir into a new place.
“We will break all the walls creating hurdles in the development of Jammu and Kashmir and there are some forces who don’t want to see this region developed,” Sinha said while addressing the first ever conference on Real Estate here.
Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Dr Jitendra Singh also attended the conference. Builders, investors and real estate stalwarts from parts of the country are also attending the day long event.
A total number of 39 MoU’s worth 18,300 crores signed during the Real Estate Summit 2021.
LG Sinha further announced, “we will also host next real estate conference at Srinagar on May 22,” adding that the Union Territory likewise many parts of the country, will also have Central Secretariat for which the land has already been identified.
“Our Government is committed to take Jammu and Kashmir to new heights in the form of development by all means,” said Sinha adding that people of this region had faced lot of hardships with regard to progress but they will see a new dawn of development in future.
Thanking to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for special focuss on the development of Jammu and Kashmir, LG Sinha said, “I want to ensure that all those who want to invest in Jammu and Kashmir, will be given special incentives and we will also consider on stamp duty like other parts.”
“Despite having social values, tourism potential, talented people, rich tradition, Jammu and Kashmir remained neglected because some vested interests never wanted to see it growing for their personal gains but it will not happen anymore,” said Sinha asserting that his government will reform Jammu and Kashmir.
LG Sinha also said due to the huge tourist influx at present, all hotels and lodges are booked and there is a need to have more hotels and guest houses to accommodate more tourists.
