Son absconding after killing father arrested

RAMBAN, Nov 24: Police arrested a man, who killed his father over some family issue in Chabba Dhamote village, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station within 72 hours.
As per police sources, on November 19, Nazir Ahmed entered into verbal duel with his farther namely Abdul Majid at their residence in village Chabba Dhamote.
The situation turned worse, when Nazir attacked his father with axe and escaped from the spot.
The family members immediately shifted the profusely bleeding victim to District Hospital Ramban and was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries on November 21.
After conducting autopsy at District Hospital Ramban, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
After registering a case under FIR Number 167/17 under Section 302 RPC, teams from Ramban Police Station conducted raids in different villages and forest areas and finally arrested the accused from village Damote.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Imtiyaz Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
