REASI, Oct 20: Son of soil and a senior research scientist from Bharakh village in Reasi district, Ravinder Kumar, has achieved international recognition for his research in Running Gait Analysis.
As per a statement, his study, focusing on how athletes run to detect and treat leg injuries, has been published in the prestigious Journal of Orthopaedics (ScienceDirect), a globally recognized journal by Elsevier, with a Q2 ranking under the SCimago Journal Ranking system.
Ravinder’s journey began at Government High School Bharakh, followed by graduation from Himachal Pradesh University and post-graduation from the University of Delhi in 2019.
Now, as a researcher at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), his work is helping athletes, improve performance and recover from injuries more effectively.
In addition to his publication, Ravinder has been appointed as a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedics, a rare honour typically given to experts from Europe and America.
His selection highlights the growing global recognition of Indian researchers.
