JAMMU, Dec 22: Former Minister and spokesperson BJP, Priya Sethi today said that president of the Congress Sonia Gandhi is inciting people for violence and added that Congress president is misleading people over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for her political gains.
In a statement issued here, today, she said that Congress is spreading fear psychosis among the masses by linking CAA with NRC which has not come yet.
Priya Sethi, who is also the Prabahri of BJP Mahila Morcha J&K has appealed the people to stay away from the misleading campaign led by Congress which has proved by party president herself yesterday where she slammed the police but didn’t say a word appealing people for maintaining peace and harmony.
Priya said that she was shocked to listen to Sonia Gandhi on TV where she did not bother to call for peace which has exposed the Congress that the party is misleading people and inciting one community for the violence for its political gains. She added that Congress leaders are in great desperation after seeing the revolutionary steps taken by the Modi Government so they have adopted the path of misleading the countrymen.
Sethi said that it is the same Congress which used to say that there will be bloodshed in Kashmir Valley if Article 370 was revoked and see today Kashmir is cool and calm which Congress was not able to digest.
Sethi said that CAA will not deny the citizenship to any Indian and the Act will give citizenship to the people who were forced to flee from neighboring Islamic countries after suffering persecution and they were waiting for decades for grant of citizenship rights.
