JAMMU, Sept 10: JMC Councillor, Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today inaugurated lane and drain work in Sector 14 of Guru Nanak Nagar.
The work shall be completed at an estimated expenditure of Rs. 43.19 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Soodan said that completing developmental works in the Ward always remained his priority.
“Many works like road-blacktopping, laying of tiles in lanes, street lights etc have already completed in most of the Ward,” he said adding: “The door-to-door moving autos have solved the problem of garbage disposal.”
The Councillor asked the residents of his Ward to avoid throwing garbage here and there and avail the services of garbage collecting autos.
He also said that use of polythene bags should be stopped to make Jammu a neat and clean city.
Soodan sought cooperation from the Ward residents in making the Ward an idle one.
The JMC Councillor said that his Ward residents should visit him anytime if they face any cleanliness-sanitation related issue.
