JAMMU, Sept 1: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today inaugurated tile work at Lane number-1, Sector-7 of Guru Nanak Nagar.
Condition of the lane was very bad and people of the area had approached the Councillor in this regard after which he took the issue before the JMC authorities from where Rs. 4.07 lakh were sanctioned for the work of up-gradation of the lane.
Speaking on the occasion Soodan asked the people of his Ward to avoid single use plastic in routine works.
He urged upon the people to use the services of door-to-door moving autos for garbage disposal and shun the habit of throwing household wastes here and there to maintain hygienic conditions in the Ward.
The Councillor said that people of his Ward may visit him anytime for solutions to the problems of sanitation, lanes and drains etc.
Many prominent citizens of the area were also present on this occasion.
