JAMMU, May 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today inaugurated construction work of a Community Hall at Shiv Durga Temple in Sector-10 of Nanak Nagar.
There was a dire need of a Community Hall as there was no such facility nearby due to which people faced many problems in organising their social and other functions.
The issue was taken up by JMC Councillor Soodan and the Jammu Municipal Corporation granted funds after which the work was started today.
Locals were elated that one of their long pending demands has been conceded.
Officials of JMC including AEE Janak Singh Saini, JE Rockey, Supervisor Imtiaz, Mandir Committee president Ravi Kumar and other prominent citizens-S. Baldev Singh, S. Darshan Singh, S. Ravinder Singh, Vijay Kumar and S. Amarmeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
