SOP to give relief to unit holders: Bawa

KATHUA, June 28: The Kathua Unit of Industrial Association has welcomed the SOP issued by UT of J&K for interstate movement of Punjab based Industrialists to J&K for business purposes.
During an informal chat with the media persons here today the Kathua Industrial Unit Association, president, Ajit Bawa and general secretary Sandeep Mittal appreciated the timely action taken by the Government in favour to run the industrial units smoothly set up by Pubjab based Industrialist. They were allowed to enter in J&K twice a week under the new SOP issued Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Ajit Sahu, they added.
Maintaining that this has given a relief to unit holders, they said earlier they were not allowed to enter in J&K to look after their units without adopting the guideline of MHA and follow the procedure of COVID- 19 sampling and administration quarantine till they declare negative.
The Kathua Industrial Unit Association and other business houses had approached the Government demanding relaxation in the SOPs, so that Industrialists may be allowed to run their business smoothly and will not be put to more loss in lockdown. It is to be mentioned here that more than one thousands Industrial units are running in Kathua and most of them belong to Punjab based Industrialists.
Meanwhile, Director Industries and Commerce Jammu, Anu Malhotra presented a certificate of honour to president Kathua Industries Association, Ajit Bawa at a simple function here today for his exemplary role during the COVID -19 crisis.
