Sopore footballer goes missing, family seeks help

Sopore, July 2: A 22-year-old footballer from Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has gone missing with family appealing their son to return.
The family said that are requesting the administration to help in tracing out their son. The family said that their son is missing since June 24, while urging him to return home.
The footballer has been identified as Amir Siraj who went missing on June 24 at his maternal uncle’s home situated in Adipora area of Sopore.
“He had left his home to play football and kept his mobile phone at home; so there is no way to contact him,” family members said.
The family has exhausted all the means of searching for their son and is now appealing the administration to help them in tracking down their son.
The relatives of the missing youth that if he is with any militant outfit, they request them to send him back.
A missing report in this regard has been registered at the Police Station Sopore.
The police officials in the district said that they are investigating the matter, though; they maintain that they cannot say anything as of now.
