JAMMU, Dec 13: In the much publicized case of Sopore where a cardiac arrest patient died in the ambulance after the vehicle was stopped by traffic cops, Registrar General of State High Court today transferred Manzoor Ahmed Khan, District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Sopore and posted him as Munsiff Mahanpur with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice MM Kumar has appointed Justice Hasnain Massodi to conduct the fact finder enquiry into the matter.
However, State High Court authorities have taken serious note of the registration of FIR against concerned Magistrate without prior permission of the High Court. There is a well settled law that prior permission from the High Court is required before registration of any case against a Judicial Magistrate.
