South Indian pilgrims solemnize Hawan at Kapal Mochan

SHOPIAN, June 13: For the first time in over last three decades about 350 yatris from South India mostly from Hyderabad, Bangaluru and Chennai visited the holy shrine of Kapalmochan Nagbal Shopian in South Kashmir to perform the yatra and solemnize Maha Yagya and Rudhra Abhisekh of one thousand eyed Shiv Lingam there for world peace and prosperity especially for J&K UT.
The team was led by Pracharak Sanatan Dharma Girdhar Ji. The yatris were delighted to have the darshan of old temple at Nagbal. After performance of Hawan the pilgrims were served with Prashad.
The newly elected Kapal Mochan Nagbal Committee led by Ashok Sathoo said the district administration of Shopian extended all cooperation and support in organising this religious function and made arrangements in a very short time to make the function a success.
Meanwhile, hundreds of devotees thronged the Kheer Bhawani Asthanpan, Manzgam in Kulgam from different parts of J&K and performed Puja of ancient Sandal tree there. The Puja was performed under the chairmanship of president of the Sanstha Kuldeep Raina. The Sandoor in a traditional way was applied to the holy Sandal tree. The boys and girls from Degree College Kulgam participated in the function and interacted with pilgrims. They served cold drink and juice to the pilgrims.
